i finished the juvel cardi last week and am pleased with the way it turned out. i guess i could have made the sleeves longer after all, but this way it is the perfect summer cardi that goes well with short sleeves and long sleeves underneath. great for layering on these chilly summer mornings in which we check on the garden.
i now cast on a saco stripes top in quince and co. sparrow, which is 100% organic linen. i am not yet sure about it. about the linen and the top. the fabric is turning out too transparent for my taste but maybe it's just the first few rows? i love these colours though, so i am hoping all will be fine in the end.
i am reading this and that at the moment. the days are long with the sun setting just shortly before 10 p.m., and i am finding myself busy outdoors and in. i love this time of the year!
what are you knitting and reading this week? joining ginny's yarn along.

The cardi is perfect! What gorgeous colours.
The cardi looks so sweet Sylvia and I can't believe how big your baby girl has grown!
I hope the sparrow works out okay with your pattern. Do you like this yarn? I have been wanting to order a few skeins to play with myself.
that is so cute........love the colours of the yarn.
The cardi is really adorable, and I love your colors for the saco too! This is a really lovely time of year, though this week gardening has had to happen in the evenings if at all because its been over 100 degrees already! It is like july here already.
I think you will like the linen. I have knit once or twice and while not fond of knitting with it I did like the fabric it produced. beautiful colors :)
What a pretty sweater!
