yarn along :: a finished steamy, home and a girly knit
well, we're back home. (sylvia and family, that is). after more than 2 months on another continent, with family, friends and on the road, it feels good be back here. the moment i stepped into my kitchen and the adjoining living room, i realized how much i love this space we have carved for ourselves here. at the same time, there seem to be so many imperfections and there is so much i want to constantly improve, which is why while we were yet in the states i ordered Love the Home You Have by Melissa Michaels. it's very inspiring!
on one of the last days of our trip i finished the steamy, blocked it and gave it to simona. i love the shades of green on her and it will be perfect for chilly mornings in fall and all these times when she will need something to cover up because the AC is too cold for her ;-)
i cast on something for my little junebug (3 years next month, oh my baby!) with yarn i had bought in a delightful little yarn shop in New Orleans. it is the juvel cardi and i am loving this sweet and simple knitting project.
joining ginny for yarn along again today. what are you knitting and reading?

Welcome home!!! It always feels so good to come home, and I always see my space with fresh eyes and a new appreciation after being away. Enjoy settling in again.
