cute and not so cute sketches

while i've been busy drawing realistic portraits these past months, usually under some type of pressure of meeting deadlines, i also enjoyed sketching a bit more on the messy side and trying out my new charcoal pencils.

my favorite is the one of my niece and nephew cuddling in the morning, so cute!

a bit less cute are the subjects of the last two sketches. actually, not cute at all. but they were still fun to draw. it's always refreshing to mix everything up a little and experiment with different subjects and mediums.
