a fall-y link love list
i had an early start to the day again this morning, as has become my habit for most weekday mornings. unfortunately, the little man awoke shortly before my alarm went off, and hasn't been able to go back to sleep. i find myself sitting here next to him, wondering how the day will evolve as he has recently stopped taking naps. hm. i'm anticipating quite a bumpy ride through this day, so best start it with a list of all things lovely and fall-y...
° we've collected some colourful leaves already, and this year i want to try preserving them by dipping them in bees wax
° looking for some autumn inspired crafts to welcome the season? i made a leaf glow jar last year and shared how to make a seasonal mobile in last year's fall edition of Rhythm of the Home
° if you're not feeling crafty why not treat yourself to a set of these pretty acorn wire ornaments made by simona?
° we have set a date to go apple picking again this year, and i can't wait for all apple related activities to follow that. i would love to make a banner like this one maybe.
° i'm looking for ideas what to do with the many chestnuts we have been collecting (and will continue to collect). i love this cute little craft idea and this post has some other fab ideas as well!
have a lovely day!!

What a great post with some awesome ideas! I soooo wish I knew where we could find chestnuts around here. My great-grandmothers house used to have a huge tree in the front yard with them. I loved going and gathering them each Fall. But they sold the house years & years ago and the new owners took the tree down :-(
I love your post Sylvia! I do wish we had more of a traditional fall season here in the south, but we do have a few things, like the changing color of marsh grass, so at least there is that.
I hope you are enjoying your day.
Such a lovely post. Thanks for the beeswax link for the leaves, I want to do it this year, but hadn't looked it up yet :)
Hope the day goes well.
apple picking sounds wonderful. i will try my best to schedule it in this year.
i'm with jen, i don't think we have chestnuts around here at all, isn't that too bad? but we do have weird looking acorns dropping in our yard already.
I love this time of year and the ideas that are floating around in my head and in the blogs! Thanks for the links :)
The chestnut worm is so adorable! And thanks for the link to the apple-banner. I guess, next year, when I'll be in my new kitchen, I'll make exactly such a banner on top of the dining corner.
