so, why am i not a food blogger? well, because i simply forget to take a photo of our food almost every single time. it just never occurs to me (or too late) to grab my camera and make a fancy stylish photo of what i made / i am making. same with the above salad. i ate half of the plate before i remembered that i might make a little food blog post about it.
quick and easy: my favourite winter salad lunch:
- leafy greens (i prefer lamb's lettuce, also known as mache or corn salad, see above. spinach is a great alternative)
- some fruit (i used grapes above but chopped up apples are even better)
- seeds as topping (sunflower seeds, pine seeds, pumpkin seeds)
- a drizzle of balsamic vinegar, olive oil and maple syrup - yum!
- oh yes, and i add goat cheese or feta at times as well!
Guten Appetit!

I have have been adding craisins and blue cheese to my salad's lately, very tasty. I also like sliced pears with blue cheese and walnuts.
Your salad looks wonderful.
The salad looks lovely! I never remember to take pics of recipes I make, cookies I bake, etc either. I am always too busy enjoying the fruits of my labors!
Oh this looks yummie!!!
I loved what you said about being a food blogger ;o) so much like me.
Now this looks like a delicious salad, like at some fancy restaurant! We sometimes add toasted almonds as topping. I didn't find any salad like yours in our area yet. Maybe I have to check out the farmers' market.
yummy:)))) I always wonder that about the kids schooling...it's a HUGE part of our day and yet I never blog about it..hmmmm...Not sure why. Maybe for the same reason, I just never think to grab my camera:) Hope you're having a great week!
