isn't this illustrated fabric just the cutest? i found it at ikea, i'm planning on using it this week to make a new curtain for the front door. right now the door has a sheer white curtain that was already on it when we moved in (it's a glass door with a curtain for privacy). initially i was looking to buy some bright, colorful fabric but when i came across this cute print i quickly changed my mind. the fact that it was on sale made the decision even easier.
i notice more and more how i love decorating with this shade of green. gladly i bought more fabric than i need for the curtain to use it for an additional project i have yet to decide on.
another project i'm considering is decorating the frosted glass tea light holders you also see on the photo. a friend gave me quite a few of them. right now i am thinking of wrapping something around, a fabric, lace, or some paper. or painting it? i wonder if i'd need to buy special glass color for that.
do you have any ideas or inspiration for my tea light holders?
might you even have experience woking with frosted glass?

I love the fabric! I wish we had an Ikea here :(
You know, you could get some paint pens and draw on you holders. I would use the ones made for dishes as they hold up to the heat. Just an idea.
@ sylvia: i'll have to check out what you've pinned! i'm all for simple.
@ tracey: yes, you're right, paint pens for dishes should hold up on glass and stand the heat. great idea, thanks!
I LOVE that fabric! So fresh =) As for decor projects ideas, decor balls in a bowl are pretty popular these days. Something like this: http://www.flamingotoes.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/P1015893-400x289.jpg especially if you have similar colored fabrics!
Or maybe you could make some sort of cute fabric wreath? I suppose it depends on the room you're decorating but a lampshade might be nice. Or some sort of decorative poms to hang from the ceiling...so much potential! Haha good luck!
That fabric is cute and it looks bright and cheery. I love the idea of decorating the votives. How about string and beads, or wire and beads?
@ Alicia and @ Sher:
i like both your ideas. these decor balls are so pretty!
and i tried out how it would look to wrap yarn around the votives.
ha, why didn't i come up with wire and beads myself?!
thanks for the tips both of you!
oh, I love green:) That is a great fabric!! Love the tea candle idea!! ~ B

I really love the fabric and your ideas for it! I would like to buy some of this fabric from Ikea, if I can find it online. Do you know the name of it?
