a finished emma tunic for the junebug

i finished the emma tunic for my little miss last week. she's 2 1/2, and not very cooperative at the moment when it comes to taking photos. she knows exactly what she wants and doesn't want and is also very quick to let us know! but i guess you get the idea of what this tunic is about. i used the biggest version given in the pattern. the arm holes are generous and it now fits as a tunic, so i am sure she will be wearing it for at least 2 years, because she can wear it as a vest just as she is still doing with her first one . details can be found on my ravelry project page.

my sweet little junebug, still so very much a baby, but so determined and independant, too. she's a delight to have around, singing, dancing, drawing, choosing hairpins in the morning, taking care of her babies and building forts with her big brother. she's very much into pretend play at the moment, and will assign roles to all the different family members.

i bought a lovely skein of rowan baby merino silk dk, and will share what i'm making with it next week! i'm still reading Mr. Penumbra's 24h Bookstore and enjoying it!

happy knitting and reading! i'm joining ginny again this week. what's on your needles?

well, what do you expect... she's really busy in her little kitchen, how could there be any time for a big photo shoot? :)

the tunic looks great, i'm glad it seems like she's going to get much use out of it!
