yarn along: tiny trees and travel reading
i am putting the finishing touches on the little man's tiny trees vest at last. it's a sweet pattern, and simple and easy to follow. i am finding the shoulder straps a bit narrow/thin compared to the body of the vest. i might make them shorter than called for in the pattern so it doesn't show that much. i have upsized the vest anyway, knitting the size 3 instructions but with a longer and wider body. the amount of yarn left? it's a gamble, for sure, but i think i'll make it!
i had downloaded a free review copy from story cartel of "little snow birds, a love story on wheels" as i am quite obsessed with travel literature and a couple road tripping for a year through the US sounded intriguing. unfortunately, the story doesn't move forward fast enough for me, there is too much reciting of unrelevant and random conversations for my taste. i'm afraid i won't even finish it, which is a shame. i read some reviews that the second part of the book takes up pace, so maybe i'll stick to it after all. i'll keep you updated.
what are you knitting and reading? joining ginny again today. have a lovely wednesday!

I love all the colors in that vest, so very fall like! Yay for nearly done :)
Such a pretty vest and I do hope you have enough yarn to finish, the colors are perfect for the season.
My fingers are crossed that your book picks up; I ran into the same problem with What Alice Forgot, but it never did get any better. I finished the book, but toward the end I just wanted it over!
such lovely yarn. :) hope you have enough to finish!!
How cute and autumnal, I hope you get the sizing you want :)
Perfect colors for this time of year. Just lovely!
