transitions of seasons and spaces
as winter ever so slowly fades into spring - (although i don't trust you, winter! you came back in march last year and stayed longer then we could appreciate) - we are ever so slowly discovering our new outdoor space. i have always known it, of course, having grown up here and also having spent the last couple of years playing here, once more. but now we see this space with a different perspective. with dreams of trees to plant, vegetables to grow, playscapes to create and outdoor furniture to buy. always trying to keep the balance between beauty, food and play. it's suburbia, after all. it's not the farm i had been dreaming of. we are not surrounded by woods and meadows, and we don't have goats in our garden. but i have come to appreciate the close proximity to the city (on some days, it's not even city enough for me). and it still offers so many opportunities to run and skip, to grow something, to watch the sky, to hide in the bushes, to lie on the grass and inhale the rich, deep scent of the earth beneath it. i can't wait to get busy this spring. it's good to be here.

I spy grass :) Our grass is under a deep cover of snow, I am not sure when it will be peeking out. I am dreaming of spring though.
I can't wait to see updates of your garden once spring and summer come around. It'll keep you busy :)
