yarn along - a wurm and random reads
i somehow dropped out of Wild Swans, i'm sure i'll pick the book up again another day, but at this moment i'm just too preoccupied with so much random reading (and watching) i decided to put it away for now. on my solo evenings i have started watching Downton Abbey again. i really love this show, but haven't heard good things about season 4, which is a pity.
on frosty, foggy and grey days it is so so lovely to browse through gardening books and make plans for spring. next year, i want to make a bean teepee, among other things, so i have been collecting ideas from the Gardening Projects for Kids book (the best book on this subject around, i find!) and from Farm Anatomy, which has gorgeous illustrations. i actually took it from the shelf after the little man asked me how many different colored beans there are... :)
i'm almost finished with the wurm hat for my hubby, so i will return to my color affection shawl soon. i can't wait to go on with simple garter stitch as all that purling with the wurm hat is getting on my nerves, haha! there is a soccer game on tv tonight so i might just even finish the hat today!
joining ginny again this week. what are you knitting and reading? please share!

I can definitely see it becoming a hat now and it looks great!
I was in the middle of watching Downton Abbey when they look it off Netflix, that was very annoying! Where do you watch it?
how smart of you to start that spring planting planning! am I the only knitter in the world you hasn't done a wurm hat yet????
I'm knitting my first Wurm hat also this week! I love your collection of books for this week.
I never seem to have enough hats! I knit at least two every winter just for myself :D yours looks great!
I received a Wurm hat in a hat exchange that I did with Rachel from Houseful of Jays. I love this hat!
THis is the third wurm hat I've seen! Ha! Must be popular! I'm knitting a kid size Noro hat which looks similar. Happy knitting!!
Blessings!
I really have to give the wurm hat a try, it looks so great. Love the colour.
I tried the wurm once and the doubled overbrim didnt work out for me. One day I will try again- they are so cute!
