yarn along - back to stripes and kid lit!

i've had quite a successful knitting and reading week, if i may say so. i finished the wurm hat for my hubby, and he's pleased with it. i also knit up a chunky cowl/loop scarf for a friend of mine who's going through a rough time. i adore the colours in that scarf, the mix of greys and yellows and greens...

now after many side projects its back to the color affection scarf for me, so if the weather does decide to turn colder eventually, i have something warm to wrap myself in. i have started and finished a children's book (no idea for which age group it is intended for) The Boy Who Swam With Piranhas by David Almond. i loved it and will try to get more David Almond books from the library! have any of you read David Almond??

joining Ginny again this week. and now it's your turn: what are you knitting and reading?

Your projects look great! You are going to love your Color Affection when it's done. It's one of the most versatile knits I have done. I can't wait to make another one!

The colors of the cowl remind me of a wintery sunrise. Very pretty.

I can recommend My Name is Mina and Skellig by David Almond, both great reads.
