weekending: grateful for two at play

we had a good weekend, even though i caught the sniffles at the end of last week and have been feeling unwell most of the days :(

we had planned to have breakfast in bed on saturday, but i guess in this season of parenting this will not really happen. we had breakfast at the table, but with salmon and freshly baked rolls. then we went to the grandparents and later in the evening a good friend sponsored dinner, bringing all ingredients here and preparing it in our kitchen. i felt so pampared. we had wine and talked until way past midnight.

sunday was the beginning of the weather turning wet and grey again, and we spent it indoors, with train tracks, legos and dress-up to keep us occupied. my babies are 2 1/2 years apart in age, so actually playing together is a little tricky at the moment. still, i'm grateful that most of the time, they play peacefully next to each other, in their individual ways, as you can see on the photos :)

yesterday evening marked seven years since my then boyfriend greeted me in my parents garden in knee-deep snow with a big heart and a questionmark formed out of tealights... and i'm grateful i said yes to the question he posed back then...

linking up with amanda and taryn.

wishing everybody a good start to the week!

Seeing both your babies is a beautiful thing Syliva.

Simona told me you guys go to Savannah when you are in the states, next time I would love to know when you are visiting, I am an hour north of Savannah, and where we go quite often, so maybe we could meet!

Sounds like a perfect weekend. We have a similar train set and it's been hours and hours of entertainment for everyone.
