paintings for garden and nature lovers

last week i painted a set of three canvases, the inspiration for this series of paintings was a picture of a beautiful and lush paradise garden i had seen recently.

as often, i used my fingers to paint, and i also used a palette knife to apply the thick and rich texture. the pink blossoms and green leaves are made with vibrant and saturated colors, and set in front of a hazy, dreamy and pearl shimmering backdrop (which does not come across on the photo the same as it does in real life).


our weather forecast is telling us we're going to have spring temperatures by the end of this week. i hope it won't mess up nature too much since we're definitely not through winter yet. we've had snow in this area as late as april, so let's hope for the best!
