a sisterly yarn along
sylvia: new cardi for junebug
just a sidenote: i uploaded this photo yesterday evening and this morning when i checked the post to see what simona had posted i realized how similar the colour scheme in our photos is. love that!
i finished the Milo vest (will share here as soon as i took some photos), so here is my ball of Malabrigo Rios waiting to be cast on. i'm adoring that colour range and i can't wait to see how it will look like when knitted. as mentioned last week i am making an upsized Puerperium vest for my little girl.
there is a pile of books on my couch, depending on my mood i pick up one or the other in the evenings. the top one is a copy of Playful Parenting. i'm not really reading it from cover to cover, just turning to chapters that currently interest me. right now, it's the chapter "Accept Strong Feelings - Theirs and Yours"
yup... ;-)
simona: crochet flower to complete my scarf
the flower is only attached with a big safety pin for now. my plan is to make several flowers with different color schemes, and if i only attach them with a pin then i can easily exchange the flowers to match the colors of different outfits.
the scarf i made for my hubby (that i was working on last week) is also finished and has already been worn. this weekend i made a pair of fingerless mitts for a friend but gave these away before taking pictures of them. i'm making another similar pair for myself right now, i'll make sure to photograph these when they're done. after that pair i'll also make such mittens for my mom, i already had her pick the yarn via skype. i hope the colors looked right on her screen so she won't be disappointed. well, i don't think she'd ever be, no matter what yarn, but i do want the colors to be just right.
we're joining ginny's yarn along. what are you knitting and reading?

wow simona you are a crochet queen, so many projects finished!! make sure to photograph your next ones, even if it's just for yourself, it feels good to look back and see what you accomplished!
Love your stack of books Sylvia, my sister does the same thing with her reading.
Simona, I love your flower! I tried to crochet a flower a while back, and just can not get the hang of it, you on the other have mastered crocheting in no time flat!

The flower is beautiful...I never thought of adding to my knits with crocheted flowers. I love that idea! Can't wait to see the little Junebuy in her sweater...she's getting so big!
