here are some more pages of my old rediscovered sketchbook i introduced in a recent post. the first two drawings are based on pictures i had found in a fashion catalog.
what got me interested in the one on the top was the intriguing angle and lighting the picture was taken in, and i was curious to see if i'd be able to capture these aspects in a pencil sketch.
the challenge i saw in the picture below was in the folds. previous to drawing this specific one i had not really tried out drawing many clothes with folds yet.
in this last picture, a very small drawing actually, i was focusing on making the hair look fluffy and poofy like a soft mane. you know, the kind of hair you just want to touch because you know it's so soft and fun to play with.
