transitions
well summer of 2012, despite of many complaints, you have been good to us. our little junebug flew into our family, and as the photostream on my phone proves, there have been countless days spent in the garden, in parks and at the beach. we had summer pizza, popsicles and wine on the balcony. it has been a busy season, with trying to find our way through the days as a family of 4, weddings, family visits and a vacation. i am now ready for the quieter days of fall, with a more steady rhythm of indoor and outdoor play. yes, my favourite season, there is a hint of you in the air today. i'm looking forward to crisp leaves and crisp air, coming home to a hot cup of tea, collecting and decorating, red boots and handknits.
hello autumn, i think we're ready for you!

I am more than ready to welcome in a new season!
As much as I love summer, we've had such a beautiful, long, fun-filled and exciting time this summer that I don't feel this season was cut short in any way. So fall or autumn, you're welcome to step into our lives again :)
It has been a wonderful summer... a new baby, two beach visits, but... I am also so ready for the slowed down rythym of fall!
Autumn is such a gorgeous way to end summer, isn't it? I can't think of a more perfect closure.
I love your photos, so warm and happy.
Lovely blog! I start to follow you from Argentina! bulubu.blogspot.com I'm new! Thanks!
We are ready too!
I, too, love fall very much. In fact, yesterday two things made me remember, the season is going to change within a few days: I found some more beautiful red leaves I had pressed in a book last fall, and in the evening I put on the fire place and enjoyed looking into its flames, while wrapped into a blanket on the couch.
Beautifully written Sylvia. Over here, I am definitely ready for the warmth of spring, after a cold, wet winter. Bring on the change of season! xx
