welcome back from our blogging break! hope you all had a wonderful weekend and a good start to the week!
as some of you might remember from our upcycling week, i love to get
creative with iron-ons. the other day, i was just ready for an
instant-gratification craft project. and then i had an idea. i had
always wondered where to iron the "home sweet home" castle on. i was
thinking a pillow, but then i remembered my husband believes we have too
many pillows (that's just too bad isn't it? in my opinion, the problem
is not the amount of pillows, it's the rather miniature size of our
couch, but that's a different topic...)
with plenty of embroidery hoops around, and a piece of neutral fabric, i
decided to make some wall decor instead. it was quick and it was easy.
i'm thinking of making another one for the junebug's nursery corner, and
i might add some actual stitching too, maybe to frame the image and to add a little more detail. these would be lovely as well as simple handmade gifts, don't you think?

That is a wonderful idea Sylvia. I think this opens up an endless way of decorating a room and now I need to find my box of hoops! :)
I like this. Kell bought this same iron-on book ages ago for us to share and I don't think we've used even one image yet. We totally should!
xx
this is a great idea! i don't have iron-ons around but i have embroidery hoops and pretty fabric.
i could also do as you suggested for my front door...
What a lovely idea! I have lots of hoops that were my mother's.
i think this is a great idea! and so easy to change out if you want to spruce up for a holiday or seasonal decor :)
