welcome spring - make a simple little garland!
this sweet and simple little spring project was featured in the spring issue of the Scrap Art Zine magazine. all you need for it is a relatively big punch (any kind is okay, i used one with a flower shape, but butterflies or circles are fine too. if you don't have a punch make yourself cozy and cut out a few shapes by hand!)
i punched out a bunch of flowers out of many different patterned papers (scraps are perfect for projects like this one), and layered them in pairs. i then sewed them together with the sewing machine, one pair after the other. just a little more folding apart, and the garland was done! i love how light it is and how easy it is to store and keep until next spring.
but for now, it's up!

I just love how you combined patterned papers with print. Such a cheerful little garland. :-)

How can something so simple be so very beautiful?! Great idea.
So beautiful! Can you tell me where to find paper that is printed on both sides? I live in the U.S.
@Anonymous: you can find it in any craft store. many scrapbooking papers are printed on both sides!
