lately i've added a little loop to some of my wire ornaments since i thought they'd make cute necklace pendants. i made the heart and owl in the photo above for my mom-in-law. when i finished making the owl i liked how it came out, so i made a second one for myself. would you like one too?
you can get your own owl pendant here - for sale -
next time i have my camera out i'll have to take pictures of how the pendants look on a necklace. i've been wearing different ones that i created the last few days, i especially love wearing my little pencil pendants. it's fun wearing my own jewelry, i suppose it's similar to wearing your hand made knit or sewing projects.
it's somehow funny, i wear my pendants because:
1) i enjoy them
2) i kind of want to show them off
but then if anybody notices and says something and compliments me i get embarrassed. so silly! with other artwork around the house as well. we have a lot of it around our home, so i don't mind people seeing it. but as soon as anybody asks me about it i get uncomfortable. it's much easier showing something off on the blog, at least nobody sees me turning red when i read their nice comments :)
what about you? do you like showing off your creations and handmade things?

I think they are great and you should show them off! I think you're right about them being like knits and I love seeing what you create.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE ...
I linked up to you on my last post, to show everyone my super awesome leaves that you made me:)) They look fabulous hanging up by my computer. thanks again, B
Those seem like such a great idea! What is the actual material you used for the wire?
@ Rita: I buy the wire at the jewelry department at a crafts store and have several different kids, I would have to check the packaging for more details.
Soooo beautiful!
Never mind turning red: it's a sign of humility and humble people are always greatly appreciated.
