What a beautiful snail! I am so squeamish about touching insects, although I don't know what a snail is categorized as. I'm hoping my children will take a page out of daddy's book and not be afraid of critters!

Such a cute snail. Looks like someone has painted his shell. Isn't nature clever like that! Have a great weekend. Jacinta

It has a really cool shell, the ones we get here are just plain grey.

I love garden snails...I played with them so many times in my German grandfather's garden, and I miss seeing them I must be in the wrong climate for them--although we have no shortage of slugs, their less attractive cousins!)

Nice photo

What a fabulous find! I love a mama who isn't afraid to get up close and personal with all things slimy and creepy ;) I'm sure it was an experience your little guy will remember for a long time to come!

So sweet! We had a visit with a dragon fly this week too (though it's not our moment today. You can see it in yesterdays post!)!

That is a neat snail. Why do they seem so much more appealing than slugs (which we find all the time...)

Visiting from soulemama and loving your blog. Especially the knitting projects. I also share a *crafty* blog with my sister. She is in the US and I am in Denmark. Here is our moment:

Thanks for stopping by my blog--no, I wasn't aware that you were in Germany until you said so! I was further south, in Munich (my Grandparents were in Schwabhausen). I lived there from 1972 to 1987...

Snails (and ants, ha, ha!) are not really my best friends. And yet: all of these creepy crawlies are beautiful and made by a great designer. It's a blessing to be able to introduce kids to all kinds of living creatures.
