as you might have gathered out of our last few posts i had visited my family in germany the last few weeks.
in my parents' living room is a painting i made for them last time i was there. clouds have always been an inspiration to me, so the subject was quickly chosen. i made it on the last day, with an about 3-4 hours deadline to work on it since we were going to have relatives over and i needed to clear the living room table off all the art supplies in time.
now i finally had the chance to photograph the painting of a 'cloudy evening ocean scene'. first you'll see two detail pictures and then the entire painting.
as usual i only used my fingers to paint.
i'm somehow really liking the detailed view of the clouds. actually, i have been thinking of creating a series of paintings of cloudy skies and all sorts of cloud formations for quite a while now. it'll be a similar idea to my beach detail artwork.

Oh it's just beautiful! Looks almost like a photograph, but still not - in a good painted way! :) I love the color of the sky, it's the exact color I think of when I'm thinkin of a perfectly blue sky! Wonderful!
It is beautiful.. you are so talented, I would have never thought you finger painted those = )
Your finger painting skill is incredible! These look so realistic. I may just ditch the paintbrushes and try this next time I get my paints out! =) x
Gorgeous, I love the cloud details too!
These clouds are very beautifully painted. It's incredible that you did them using your fingers!
