welcome to all ♥elycia readers! thanks for visiting the ant hill. here on artsy ants you will find creative inspiration, art, tutorials, hand made stuff, and a little bit about what's going on in the artsy ants' lives.
this week i've been inspired by my favorite artist mucha again. i think i'll explore his style a little more since i'd really love to learn from him.
much to my own surprise i'm still keeping up with my 2011 resolution of sketching every day. admittedly i sometimes (almost) cheat. some days it's a really small and quick sketch, especially if i've already spent a long time on a portrait for example. but i allowed for that when i first made my commitment and i'm glad i did. so here are some of last week's sketches. i also did some more cute little girl illustrations, this one is called "bear hug".
my friend anja is also keeping up with the sketch project for the most part. she posts some of them on her creative blog as well. i'm sure she wouldn't mind if you took a peek!
it's never too late to join in. or are you perhaps already sketching every day? put your link in a comment, i'd love to see your work!

What a great goal! I can only manage one finished drawing a week so I'm not sure I could keep up with that schedule but I now how beneficial it is to your creativity. Mucha is one of my favorite artists!
love the bear hug most :)) can use that right now... just hopping over to anja's blog.
Keep up the good work! For some reason I LOVE that stapler sketch.
The bear hug is sooo cute. You could make a book for Spencer with that little girl.
Thanks for stopping by my blog, now I found you and your blog is great!
I would love to participate in the sketch a day, but I am not sure I could keep up with the posting them everyday, maybe I will do a collage at the end of the month with all of the sketches, Would that still count?
Sure Heidi, that counts! I don't post them every day either. I'm excited about seeing your collage every month. Can't wait!
i LOVE seeing your talents. so wonderful.
