painting with fingers

when i was getting some files ready to be sent to a printer for test prints, i cropped a photo of my painting and ended up really liking it that way.

i painted it with my fingers. dipping my fingers in paint is so much more fun than using brushes. i think one of the main reasons for disliking brushes at some point was that i didn't have any good ones. now i have some really nice paint brushes that i enjoy using very much. but still, using the fingers instead is so much more "hands on" - literally. sure, it's very messy and it's far less predictable. but this unpredictability is part of the experience.
