a painting that brings back good memories

anybody that has already browsed through our shop might have seen this portrait already. i use it there as sample for custom acrylic portraits. it's actually called "saturday morning" since we used to read stories together with this boy and his siblings every saturday morning. these were good times, i have lots of nice memories with these kids.

for the majority of the painting i used my fingers, there were only very few details that i used a fine brush for.

funny: only after previewing the post i realized that the detail images almost line up. i thought i had selected random parts of the painting to show more detail.
