color inspiration: spring blossoms

i wish my eyes could soak up images. you know, the only thing you can sometimes do with a beautiful sight is remember it. well, you can photograph it and perhaps edit the photo. this way you can try to display what it really appeared to be in your eyes. or what else i love doing is drawing or painting a stunning image, this lets me dwell on the beauty for a while and figure out what about it makes the picture so outstanding. it makes it more touchable. yes, i think that's what it is. this is why i like painting with fingers. it brings me physically closer to the subject. not being able to touch what i see is like looking at the most delicious food through a window. it makes my mouth water but it sure doesn't satisfy me. does this make sense to anybody else besides me?

sometimes i love browsing around flickr to find some eye candy. like this one here, it's by fourth photography.

the colors in the background are muted and subdued while the blossoms and tiny leafs are so vibrant. it's like the cold, dark winter is being pushed aside by the new, bursting life in spring!

oh lovely. the cherries are blooming here too only i'm afraid due to the lack of rain they won't last long.
i know what you mean. i'm also totally a "touch" person, i always want to know how things feel, when others might be satisfied with just looking at something.

me as well am a "touch" person! :) for example i hate to go to museums and watch beautiful paintings and not be able to touch them! i want to feel the structure and the pensel drawings to get the whole expression! (but I don't ofcourse, because then I might be banned from all the museums in europe in the end..;)

beautifully written!

Simona, thanks again for posting my picture on your blog. I appreciate the "reblog" and the kind words you had for my photography. I'm glad that I could provide this image for everyone's enjoyment.
