summer crafts: slow, simple, spontaneous

this is my motto for this summer, no big plans, slowing down, taking each day as it comes and finding inspiration on the way. we had a lot of leftover boards from renovating our garden shed which the kids had used as ramps and to build park decks in the sand box. one morning we brought
the paints out into the garden and gave the boards a "real" street look. simple and spontaneous. just how we like it!

I love the boards. What a great way to reuse things. that sandbox is lovely too!

that's such a neat idea! we used to use these types of boards for streets anyways, why didn't you/we think of painting them earlier? :)
