yarn along :: back to vests and ya lit

after finishing my color affection shawl (thanks so much to all of you for your lovely comments!)  i had a knitting break. this is the first year that i'm gardening more than a balcony, so i have spent so much time working out of doors that in the evenings (when most of my knitting is done) i just crashed on the couch or my bed, unable to knit a stitch. some rainy days have reached us again though, so a few quiet indoor hours might be spent with yarn and needles again. i'm back to the vests, trying to finish the little man's first.

i have been reading on my kindle, right now it's Eleonor and Park, by Rainbow Rowell. i had read good reviews of Fangirl, but decided to start with this one. so far, i like it! i am always drawn to ya and kid literature. i think a main reason is that i feel younger than i am. i think most of the time i don't feel older than 21, lol!

what about you, what have you been knitting, reading and making? joining ginny's yarn along and frontier dreams' keep calm craft on.

I'm with you...hard to knit after having my hands busy in dirt all day!

I want to read that book and have been waiting for it to be released in paperback. Glad to know you are back to vest knitting with dreary rainy days :)

Yay for gardening and the fact that it's warm enough to do it! The knitting will be waiting for you. Enjoy your garden!

I am hoping it will get warm enough to dig in the dirt! We have a nice day and then cold. I love the colors of the yarn and look forward to seeing finished product!

Love the yarn you are using. Those colors are right up my alley.

That yarn on your needles is great. Perfect for a little man. I don't know either of these books. I like some of the YA books also. I will have to look into them.
