a new season, a new home

it seems like ages since i sat down to write a blog post. it has been one of the most busy summers ever. but now we are here, making home. a move, new corners, new sights, with familiar details and objects, and the comfort of family rhythms that i am admittedly still struggling to (re-) establish. it's a time of transition, with so many of our things (still) in boxes, even though the pile of emptied boxes is huge! seemingly minor everyday makings have to find their flow, as it takes me several attempts to find this cup or that board or the jar with the oats. but we're getting there...

as the days get shorter, darker and colder and we feel the change of season not only in temperatures but also in the amount of time during the day that we are indoors, i am especially happy this year as the shift takes place into a home with not only an immediate outdoor space that we can explore together, but also more indoor room for our little family to retreat to, and a fireplace to keep us warm!
