"dancing" jelly fishes, acrylic painting - FOR SALE -
in memory of my recent beach vacation i painted a canvas with a scene of three dancing jelly fishes. originally i had a greater variety of colors in mind for the color scheme, but it ended up being a white/ aqua/ teal/ ocean blue colors, using a light and dark contrast for the main effect. another effect (that didn't pick up on the photo) is the glossy vs. matte effect. the jelly fished are textured and glossy while the darker blue water is non-glossy.
i'm not sure how the colors in the painting appear on your monitor, it was hard to photograph it even though i used a white balance.
this here was the in-between stage of the painting, i somehow like it as well. it's fun and abstract and reminds me of painting with watercolor. but i often have this urge to finish up a painting or drawing with a lot of detail, so i kept painting away. i'm thinking of making another similar painting where i hold myself back and plan on keeping it abstract.
so this is what i did over the weekend. what did you end up doing?
