beach day

oh we had such a lovely, sandy, playful, cousin loving, sunsoaking, salty air breathing day yesterday... i feel blessed that we live (relatively) close to the beach and am determined (as always upon returning), that it will not take months before we get back again. i love this spot, to which my parents took us already. there is so much space, it's far away from the "popular" beaches, there are seashells and rocks to collect and forts to build. it was perfect!

can you believe this little guy is 1/4 african? do i spot streaks of red in there??? looooove this photo...

That looks like a lovely and peaceful day! He is such a cutie pie in his little counting shirt! I haven't made it to the beach yet this summer, but hopefully soon. Before it starts snowing, hehe :)

Being close to the beach is something that I've always loved, be it coney island or somewhere near a boardwalk, but, when I'm in Japan, driving distance is close enough... boo scary tsunami's!

What a great day you had up there! We got the hint to travel to that particular beach by an insider, a friend, who grew up very close to the Baltic Sea there.
And Spencer looks so cute - especially with that T-shirt!! (....didn't know it still exists)

yeah, he really doesn't show his african heritage in his hair (nor in his eyes)... even the slight wave i see here doesn't count. it's the first time i remember seeing him having this wave though, maybe he's growing into it?
