announcement :: upcycling week july 25-29, 2011

hey everybody!
as you can see we have something special planned for the end of this month: a week dedicated to upcycling!

what is this all about?
we just love projects that breathe some new life into something old or make a worn and used item look like new again. repurposing clothes and fabric is fun and saves money! plus, you end up with something more individual and creative than you could ever find in a store.

who can join?

everybody! we plan to feature projects we've been working on ourselves and other ideas found on the web. many things might have been shared already, but it's not about re-inventing the wheel. it's about getting inspired and motivated!

so feel free to share your projects! we're looking for anything repurposed or upcycled made from fabric, such as children's clothes, adult clothes, home decor, accesories, you name it!

if you've posted about a project before, just leave a link to it here in the comments section. we can then add a photo and a link to your blog in our round-up. if you haven't blogged about your project before, you can send web-sized photos and a short description to artsyants(at)gmail(dot)com

is there a button?

yes, of course! you can find one on the righthand side bar.
(just copy the html text you see below the button and paste it wherever you'd like the button to show up.)

so, we hope you'll all join us for a week of crafting, cutting, and sewing!

I can't wait to see all of the great creations. I love upcycling (mostly making adult's clothes into things for my two little girls) I am a total ludite when it comes to links and buttons and stuff but I do have some photos of upcycled projects on my blog and will try to photograph some more this week!
