wearing feather 'fascinators'

have you ever worn one of these hair feather accessories, sometimes called fascinators?  i think it was the first time for me to wear feathers in my hair since playing "indian"/native american when i was a girl. two friends gave me and sylvia some, they bought them at primark. these hair bands and clips are actually quite cute, i've seen some really nice handmade ones on etsy that i'm quite tempted to buy.

when i took this picture of me wearing the headband i remembered how i still didn't find my makeup bag. i lost it about 2 or 3 weeks ago and first thought it would just reappear by itself. now i've almost given up hope. eventually i'll have to go get some new makeup.

i'm curious: would you also be okay with surviving for a few weeks without makeup? or would prefer getting some replacement makeup as soon as possible?

(taking part in the pleated poppy's what i wore wednesday)

I would buy new mascara, that would be ok!

I wore make up every day for years, now not so much unless I go out and then just minor [mascara, eyeliner and blush]. Love the feathers!

I love feathers in the hair :) Those ones are gorgeous bright colours! I don't really wear makeup, maybe once every couple of months. I'd like to have it on hand, though, so if it was lost I'd eventually get more ;)

i wear very little makeup, just mascara most of the days. i prefer not wearing any at all. so i think i would totally survive without, even though some people might start to wonder why i look so tired all of a sudden :)

How adorable you look! I have seen lately that feathers are everywhere in style!

I often tone down my makeup and it really depends on what I need to cover up mostly. But do without it for days on end, would be harder for me. It is a part of my day that refreshes me and gives me a little creative outlet.

There is no way I could go for two weeks with no makeup. I have to wear it everyday or I can't leave the house. Lol.

I would have to at least get concealer! I inherited dark under-eye circles from my mom...if I don't wear concealer, I look ill =P

LOVE the feathers. Just beautiful.

Hi Simona! That looks even more beautiful in your hair than it did by itself.

I don't wear a whole lot of makeup, but I think it would bother me to go without it completely, even for a week.

I think those are so cute!!

I would be so lost without my makeup. I sell Avon so I have a lot of good stuff. I don't wear it everyday but when I do it makes me feel good.

I love these... and thanks for reminding me what they are called. Now that my hair is short, I may have to look into getting or making some!

That feather-hairband is beautiful in itself, but much more so in your beautiful hair!
No make-up? Well, my eyes are so small that they almot disappear behind my glasses. So I really prefer using at least some mascara. My cheeks are naturally pink - so no make-up needed there.
