yarn along: one off the needles and one wip

i finally finished the upsized puerperium cardigan for the junebug. the upsizing was actually just choosing a bigger needle size and making it longer than her first one.

i know i promised photos of the baby in it, and they will follow, for sure. at the moment i’m just so hesitant to put it on her, as she is shuffling on the floors like mad and the other handknits she has been wearing have pilled terribly. so i though maybe once she crawls it will be better? no idea. it is quite generous in sizing that i think she might wear it in summer still. i love the little butterfly buttons... the rest of the cardi is closed. I actually ended up sewing her first one together too, once she became mobile the buttons were constantly opening.

i don’t want to bore you, but i’m still reading „when god was a rabbit“, and enjoying it so far, and it’s still the garden sweater i’m working on, but as you can see it’s making significant progress. i might have to take it off the needles to actually try it on once.

joining ginny again this week for yarn along. what are you knitting and reading?

When I see these little knits for wee ones it makes me wish I had knitted when my boys were little. They are so adorable!
